Ghattadahally - Arabica Washed is a specialty coffee from Ghattadahally Estate, a historic 170-acre farm in Chikmagalur, Karnataka. Nestled within India’s Western Ghats, a renowned biodiversity hotspot, the estate has been sustainably managed by the Uday family for over 200 years, now under the care of seventh-generation farmer Swaroop Balakrishna Uday. Here, Arabica Chandragiri beans are shade-grown under native trees, handpicked, and sun-dried, preserving both flavour and ecosystem health.

Using a meticulous washed process, only the ripest cherries are pulped, fermented, and washed to create an exceptionally clean and bright cup. With a vibrant, zesty acidity, hints of stone fruit aromatics, and a light, fresh profile, this coffee is an uplifting experience from start to finish. South India Coffee Company is proud to source Ghattadahally’s distinct flavours, promoting transparency and sustainable growth.

South Indian Coffee Company

Countries of operation India
Established date 2017

South India Coffee Company (SICC) was founded in 2017 by the husband and wife duo Akshay Dashrath and Komal Sable. As fifth-generation coffee producers from Coorg, one of India's oldest coffee-growing regions, we established SICC to create a collaborative supply chain focused on sustainably produced Indian specialty coffee with global reach. Our mission is to foster a more equitable and sustainable coffee industry by partnering with producers, roasters, and importers. Inspired by our time in the UK and the limited availability of Indian coffees, we embarked on this journey to put Indian coffee on the world map. Today, SICC operates in the USA, UK, and India, with end-to-end logistics and warehousing capabilities. We also collaborate with partners in Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Singapore.

We envision a world where everyone involved in the coffee chain, from farmers to roasters, can thrive economically while being mindful of the environment.
