  • A history of Bossa Coffee Co.

Bossa Coffee Company was founded by Bruna and Emma - two friends brought together by a shared vision for a better coffee trade. Bruna grew up in a coffee-producing family in Brazil and has worked across roasting, research, exporting and importing. Emma, originally from New Zealand, came into the coffee world with a creative background and years of experience in green coffee trade, coffee auctions, and specialty imports.

Their paths crossed in 2018 while working for te same coffee company. Realising they shared the same values - honesty, collaboration, and a commitment to the full
supply chain - they launched Bossa Coffee in 2024. Their aim: to connect the consuming and producing ends of the coffee world more meaningfully, and to support the entire coffee community - from farm workers to baristas. Backed by long-standing relationships in Brazil and a deep knowledge of the supply chain, Bossa Coffee Co. has grown into a trusted source for consistent, high-quality coffees with a clear story behind every lot.

Bossa Coffee Company is a green coffee importer based in London with a deep connection to Brazil. They source traceable, specialty coffees from producers they know and trust, with a strong emphasis on transparency, sustainability, and long-term relationships at origin.

Who are the founders of Bossa Coffee Company?

Bossa was founded by Bruna and Emma, whose paths into coffee come from different directions but meet in a shared commitment to transparent, producer-focused trade. Bruna grew up in a coffee-producing family in Brazil and brings hands-on experience across roasting, research, exporting, and importing. Though now based in London, she remains closely involved in her family’s business and holds Q-Grader and WSET 3 certifications. Together, they’ve built Bossa to bridge origin and market in a way that works for everyone along the chain.

Where does Bossa source its coffee from?

Does Bossa work only with Brazilian coffees?

For now, their focus is on Brazil, where they have deep roots and long-standing relationships. But their vision extends beyond - they plan to curate coffees from other origins in the future, always prioritising strong partnerships and community-led work.

How does Bossa support female producers?

As a women-led business, Bossa makes it a priority to work with female producers and ensure they have space and visibility in the specialty market. These coffees are regularly featured in their offering list and often include standout microlots.
