Bernardina is a family farm through and through. Named after its founder, it’s been in operation since the 1960s and is now run by second and third-generation producers Felix and Iluminada Aguilar. Set in Panama’s Renacimiento region, the 18-hectare farm includes forest reserves, fruit and timber trees, and 12 hectares dedicated to coffee.

This lot is a Natural Maragogype with extended fermentation – a big-beaned variety known for elegance and complexity, given extra depth by a slow, carefully managed process.

Cupping Notes

Peach, caramel, and vanilla blossom lead the way. The intensity is refined – not overpowering, not too soft. Light, citrusy acidity brings to mind crisp apples, while the finish is smooth and lingering, with notes of white fruits like pear and apple.
