    Microlots tend to be smaller in volume, more traceable, and focused on distinctive flavour or process. These commercial lots prioritise balance, scalability, and value – with less emphasis on origin detail or standout flavour.

  • Why do we offer commercial coffees?

    Not every coffee needs to be highly traceable or top scoring. These lots offer a practical alternative – good, clean coffees at a lower price point, suited to larger-scale use. They give roasters more flexibility on cost without sacrificing consistency, and can be used across a range of profiles, from espresso blends to batch brews.

Usually not. Most are sourced at regional or exporter level, so farm-level detail is limited – but we still prioritise clean, well-processed lots.

Yes, we still cup all commercial lots to check for consistency and cup quality – even if they don’t meet the scoring threshold for specialty.

Can I use these in a house espresso or blend?
