Couldn't load pickup availability
A budget-friendly decaffeinated Arabica option designed for home roasting. This coffee typically comes from South or Central America, though the specific origin may vary as lots rotate. Expect a milder, smoother flavour profile with lower acidity and less bitterness compared to regular caffeinated coffee. The decaffeination method may differ between Mountain Water and Sugarcane EA, but we select only lots that maintain a clean and balanced cup.

How we package
our coffees
Barrier packaging designed for specialty coffee.
We use Ecotact bags because they offer high-barrier protection against oxygen, moisture, and external contaminants. This helps preserve the quality, aroma, and flavour potential of your green coffee during transport and storage. They're trusted by top producers and importers worldwide.
Heat-Sealed for Maximum Protection
Every bag is professionally heat sealed at our warehouse to lock in freshness. This creates a secure seal that prevents exposure to air or humidity - keeping your green coffee stable, even over long periods.
Convenient Resealable Zip Closures
Once opened, each bag has a resealable zip to help you store and protect the rest of your coffee between roasts. It’s a simple way to reduce waste and maintain freshness - especially helpful for home roasters or sampling.
Portion sizes for any roaster.
Whether you're roasting at home or running a production line, we've got a size to suit. Choose from 0.5kg, 1kg, or 5kg bags - all packed with the same level of care. Smaller volumes make it easy to try new coffees without the commitment.
Responsible packaging choices.
Our bags are made from Graded 7 multi-layer recyclable plastic. While they may not go in your home recycling bin, they are accepted by specialist facilities. More importantly, they reduce waste by dramatically extending the shelf life of your green coffee.
Frequent Questions
What quality level is this coffee, and is it considered specialty grade?
Yes - this is entry-level specialty coffee. It meets the same minimum quality standards we apply across our range, but it isn’t part of our higher-scoring, fully traceable lots. It’s clean, reliable, and good value for home roasting, without the premium price tag that comes with microlots or competition coffees.
Why is there no farm, region, or producer information on this listing?
To keep this range affordable, we don’t list farm or producer details. The focus here is on offering an accessible, consistent coffee for home roasting. If you’re looking for fully detailed, higher-scoring, single-origin coffees, you’ll find those in our main range.
Will the flavour stay consistent if the lot changes in future?
Yes - we always select coffees with the same general flavour profile, grade, and process. However, because lots may rotate, there can be very small differences from time to time. The cup will remain true to type, even if the specific lot changes.
Is this 100% Arabica, and is it certified (organic, Fairtrade, etc.)?
If the listing says Arabica, it’s 100% Arabica. If it’s Robusta, it’s 100% Robusta. We don’t blend without stating it. These coffees are not sold as certified organic or Fairtrade, but they are ethically sourced and screened to our usual quality standards.
What brew methods is this coffee suitable for once roasted?
Once roasted, you can use it for any brew method - filter, espresso, moka pot, cafetière, etc. Your roast level will make more difference than the bean itself.
Do I need special equipment to roast this coffee?
No - you can roast it using anything from a home roaster (e.g. Aillio, Kaffelogic, Gene Café, Ikawa) to a popcorn popper or pan. Just be aware that different methods give different levels of control.
Can I brew these beans without roasting them?
No - green coffee isn’t ready to brew or consume in its raw state. It must be roasted first. Brewing unroasted coffee will taste unpleasant and may be unsafe.
How long do green coffee beans last before roasting, and how should I store them?
Stored in a cool, dry place and sealed well, green coffee can stay fresh for up to 12 months. Avoid heat, sunlight, and moisture - cupboards beat windowsills.
How much weight is lost during roasting?
You can expect around 12–18% weight loss from green to roasted, depending on roast level (lighter roasts lose less, darker roasts lose more).
Why is this coffee cheaper than your other coffees?
This range is priced to make home roasting more accessible. We use ethically sourced, lower-cost specialty lots from trusted suppliers, but we don’t build in the extra costs that come with farm-level traceability, premium processing, or detailed storytelling. It’s a simple, good-quality coffee designed for learning, experimenting, and everyday roasting – without the higher price of our premium lots.
Is this the same quality as the coffees in your premium range?
This range focuses on value and accessibility. Our premium coffees offer higher cup scores, full origin details, and more distinctive flavour profiles. If you'd like to explore those, we have plenty available.
Can I order this in larger bag sizes?
This range is only offered in 500g bags because it’s designed specifically for people roasting at home, where smaller batches make more sense.
If you need coffee in 5kg or 30kg formats, our main range is better suited for that.
Will this product always be available?
Yes - but the specific lot may change. We keep the flavour and process as consistent as possible, but rotate stock so we can maintain the lowest price.
What’s the difference between this range and your premium coffees?
This range is designed to give you an affordable way to roast, learn, and build confidence. When you're ready to explore coffees with deeper flavour complexity, full origin stories, and higher cup scores, our premium range is where that journey continues.
