  • What are coffee staples, and why are they important?

    Our coffee staples are the beans we always have in stock. They’re selected for their reliability and consistency, making them a great choice for your business. These coffees are cost-effective, versatile, and ideal for espresso offerings. Plus, they’re available year-round, so you don’t have to worry about running out. With these staples, you can always deliver the quality your customers expect.

  • Why are these coffees available year-round?

    It all comes down to where they’re grown and how we source them.

    • Ugandan coffee benefits from two harvests a year. Uganda’s location on the equator creates two distinct growing seasons, so we can offer fresh beans throughout the year. This is made possible through our close relationship with Omwani, our trusted sourcing partner.
    • Colombian coffee is another year-round option. Colombia’s unique climate gives it a “bimodal” harvest—main crops from October to December and a smaller “mitaca” harvest from April to June. This allows us to stock fresh beans regularly, ensuring you get the best flavour and quality every time.

    On top of this, we plan ahead and order larger stocks of these coffees to ensure they’re always available when you need them.

  • Why aren’t all coffees available year-round?

    Some coffees are seasonal due to where and how they’re grown. Limited harvest periods, small crop sizes, or higher sourcing costs can make them harder to keep in stock. Additionally, certain coffees may not align with market demand, so it’s not always practical to offer them year-round. We focus on providing the most reliable and in-demand options to keep your business running smoothly.

What is your process for ensuring consistency between lots or harvests?

We work closely with our sourcing partners to make sure we’re always offering top-quality coffee. Most of the partners you’ll find on our site have years of experience in their regions, and they use that expertise to access the best coffees available each season. Their deep relationships with producers help maintain consistency in both quality and supply.

Do you offer samples or trial batches before committing to larger orders?

Yes, we offer samples for most of our coffees. If you need a larger sample than what’s typically available, we recommend trying one of the smaller quantity options listed on our site. That way, you can test the coffee before committing to a larger order.

Many roasters have successfully scaled their offerings with our support, and we’re here to help you do the same.

What’s your pricing structure, and are there discounts or benefits for bulk purchases?

Our pricing is straightforward. For quantities smaller than 60kg, we add a small premium to cover warehousing, picking, packaging, handling, and shipping—this helps make smaller orders possible. For full sacks, we take a commission from our sourcing partners, so the price you pay with us is the same as if you purchased directly from them. Discounts for larger volumes are listed on our site, and we calculate these based on consultations with producers and sourcing partners, reflecting the benefits of buying in bulk and committing to ongoing orders.
