The wait is over, and the coffee is finally on its way: a relationship Khipu is looking to build on with this offering.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eRogelio Peña Huaman is a coffee producer from Nazareth de la Cumbre, in the San Jose de Lourdes District of San Ignacio Province, Cajamarca. He's been involved in coffee cultivation his whole life, and in 2020, inspired by his eldest child Franklin's vision, the two founded Finca La Familia together. Franklin, an agricultural technician with years of experience working alongside coffee producers, wanted to bring together his own family and neighbouring families around Nazareth de la Cumbre to process and sell their coffee directly. Rogelio needed some convincing, given the risk involved in marketing and selling to national and international buyers - but with Franklin and a few cousins bringing post-harvest expertise, and Rogelio's family bringing deep cultivation skill, Finca La Familia now spans 25 hectares, managed by six families including the Peña Huamans.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThis lot is a Typica and Caturra blend, processed with care. Cherries are selectively harvested, floated to check for defects, then pulped.
