The farm borders a 50-hectare forest corridor left open for local wildlife - elephants use it to reach their traditional migration paths and mineral-rich caves, while antelope, leopards, wild boars, and dik-diks move freely across the estate itself. The farm's proximity to the Ngila River has shaped its own reforestation work too, planted in part to hold the surrounding soil in place.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"\u003eWithin the estate, one section is set apart from the rest: Glenmalure, dedicated specifically to specialty coffee. This Geisha is what comes out of it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"\u003eThe coffee here is grown and processed with a heavy reliance on people rather than machinery. Cherries are hand-picked, and this lot went on to be hand-sorted before pulping. It was left to ferment as parchment for 12 hours, then washed and moved onto raised beds to dry - a process that took 8 to 13 days depending on the weather, without any mechanical drying involved.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\"\u003eThat reliance on people runs through the rest of the estate as well.
